Expert highlights rec risks from the COVID-19 jobs market

Many new trends have arisen following the global pandemic;

flexible and remote working has become the new norm,

meetings now take place over Skype or Zoom and the daily commute is a thing of the past.

Now it seems there has also been an uptick in demand for flexible labor,

with employers looking to recruiters and freelance providers to source workers willing to work more sporadically in response to the peaks and troughs in demand,

which is also helping businesses to save on fixed costs.

It’s there in the stats in the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC’s) latest JobsOutlook report.

It discovered in May to July 2020 that hiring intentions for agency workers in the short-term (the next three months) reached net: +6,

the highest level since October-December…
