
New year now on the horizon,
HR leaders are looking at what 2021 may hold,
and the uncertainties that many are still to face due to unknowns such as COVID-19 and Brexit.
To find out some of the most pressing areas of work that will likely be topping the agenda for HR leaders in 2021,
new research from Gartner polled more than 750 HR professionals and discovered some significant findings.
In a study titled 2021 HR Priorities Survey,
the research found that an overwhelming majority (68%) cited building critical skills and competencies as their number one priority in 2021.
The survey, conducted between June and August 2020,
found that the other top HR priorities for 2021 are organizational design and change management at 46%, current,
and future leadership bench at 44%, the future of work at 32%, and employee experience at 28%.
