70% predict business as normal, but what does that mean?

There’s no denying that the coronavirus pandemic has caused chaos and uncertainty for small businesses across the UK.

The threat of the virus has meant many have had to close their doors altogether and lose business as a result.

However, despite this it seems that feelings of optimism are starting to arise among small business owners.

In fact, a study conducted among small business leaders

found that over two-thirds agreed it was likely that with the success of the vaccine roll-out,

their businesses could get back to normal before the end of 2021.

Tide, who carried out the research,

discovered that while respondents are optimistic about the longer term, they are still facing difficulty in the short-term.

For example, 26% of small businesses expect to see their business’s income spike over the next three months
