What does McKinsey’s ‘leadership vacuum’ mean for you?

The single largest global management consulting giant McKinsey is, according to analysis from The Economy,

The Guardian and numerous other sources, in a state of crisis.

In February of 2021, partners at the firm voted to oust leader Kevin Sneader from his role at the top;

Despite being the first port of call for providing extensive advice to Governments and multi-national corporations and

boasting a network of former employees that includes influential names in both business and politics such as former

Facebook COO Sherly Sandberg and ex-Credit Suisse Chief Executive Tidjane Thiam,

it seems that McKinsey has failed to live up to its own

‘Leadership through integrity’ motto after having to agree to pay nearly $600million

(£430million) to settle a lawsuit brought about by 49 US states for its role in aiding drug-makers

to shift more prescription painkillers.
