Teams are unable to hit the highest levels of productivity without consistent levels of trust,
and this can be achieved instantly through the help of a manager who instils trust in a team.
With one in three employees stating that they don’t trust their employers,
as shared in the Edelman Trust Barometer, fostering a culture of trust is essential to create a successful team.
Simon Halkyard, Head Office Talent Acquisition Manager at ASDA,
recently shared this thoughts on trust on LinkedIn, and revealed the importance of trusting your manager.
He shared that while many believed he was “lucky” because he had been able to work with mangers he trusted completely,
Halkyard stated that it was actually his primary focus when job hunting to find a trusting manager.
“But it’s really not luck – I made it my primary focus when job hunting.
I have made many mistakes since moving in-house, but all of those mistakes can be absorbed and moved on from.
